You guys know my other half, dA member scaleyscribe - many of you have gone over and befriended him as well. In RL he earns our bread and butter as a costume designer for Disney Creative Entertainment (this is the branch affiliated with the theme parks, not the films), and for the last year and a half he's been flitting back and forth to Tokyo like some big shot, doing all the costuming for Tokyo Disney's 30th anniversary "Happiness Parade". Because he's too modest (or possibly just too spacey) to mention it, I will boast and crow about how awesome he is and casually link to this video of the parade, which debuted a few days ago.

(skip to about 4:20; before that it's just waiting)
The work involved in this thing involved countless late nights, weeks on end on the other side of the planet, panicked days when his incorrect blackberry settings made it impossible for us to communicate, and even a patient's POV of the Japanese health care system when he wound up in a hospital there. FUN TIMES. On the upshot, his team there is full of very lovely people, and he has raved endlessly about their work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence. (Not to mention their warmth and generosity.)
And he brings me back Kit-Kats. In like, 50 different flavors. That, right there, is enough to make me willing to relocate. If, you know, the company ever wants him there on a more permanent basis. Yeeeeahhhh, there's that whole earthquake and tsunami thing, but...SAKURA MATCHA KIT-KATS. That's all I'm saying.
Go watch it.
