Wow
Journal Entry: Fri Dec 7, 2007, 8:51 AM
Look, I'm actually updating my journal before March!
This is the end of a good year. My little guy is a year old now, toddling around and getting into everything and in general being adorable. He also makes working on the computer almost impossible because he wants to be in my lap, pounding on the keyboard, so this is why I've gotten so little art done lately. I don't expect that situation to improve any time soon, as he is only going to get more active, but such is life with a toddler.
I'm still teaching art to about 12 kids and that is usually fun, and pays the grocery bills.
I've become a fanfic-writing addict and met a few more really loyal Prydain fans, which is always a treat. We've established quite the respectable Lloyd Alexander section on ff.net, and have our own forum where we discuss the series and our spinoffs nonstop. Having wished for this kind of catharsis for years, I find it quite fulfilling. The merits of fanfic may be debatable, but for me it is a great creative outlet.
And that's pretty much my life. Mother my child, clean my house, cook, eat, write, and draw. Doesn't get much better than that (well, unless someone wants to take over the housekeeping part.)
The lines have fallen in pleasant places...
- Listening to: silence
- Reading: Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster
- Eating: home baked bread
- Drinking: cream soda
